Twyford has been described as one of the most desirable Village locations within the local area offering a variety of independent shopping, restaurants and bars. Travel into London is exceptional - the Elizabeth Line takes you to Bond Street (48m) and Canary Wharf (62m) directly, whilst GWR has frequent fast trains into Paddington. Educational requirements are well catered for with highly regarded schools including Polehampton Infant and Junior C of E schools, Colleton Primary, The Piggott C of E Secondary and Sixth Form. Reading Blue Coat is close by in Sonning (potential purchasers are advised to check for entry/catchment requirements). The Village is also ideally placed to enjoy the riverside towns of both Henley-on-Thames and Marlow - both can be reached easily either by train or by car.
As hybrid working becomes the norm, Twyford’s appeal only grows. Professionals who only need to be in the office 2–3 days a week can justify a slightly longer (but direct) commute in exchange for a detached house with a garden—something nearly impossible to find at the same price point in Zone 2 or 3.
